what is happening to blogging? Oman Community Blog and the UAE Community Blog are dead or breathing their last one, is it out of fashion to blog now? is everyone twittering only? or have all the blogging expats left the Gulf?
Most active Omani bloggers who write in English have moved to Twitter and do not update regularly. The Arabic language Omani bloggers are more active than ever, but again, this community is in the English language.
Twitter has highjacked allot of bloggers, as it is so adictive, been an ex-Twitterholic my self, my blog or journal was dead at some point in time.
I decided to treat my blog as Twitter, post at anytime I feel like, thanks to mobile revolution, as a result you may see between two to five posts a day.

As BuJassem stated, His (and my blogs) are updated regularly. Especially Al-Emarati.com, that is at least updated once a week, usually 2 or 3 times weekly.
Twitter is a plague, and I hate it. Some bloggers (including myself) are in it for the long haul. We hope to have our blog turned into a magazine type write as more writers join, maybe even advertise in local magazines or papers in the future. I suggest our blog to Buj's because his blog is really too political! Ours is a voice of dissent, we dont like everything. lol.
btw, I wasnt being a smart ass when I asked what you guys blog about in Oman, I've never been to Oman, so I have no idea what life there is like.
