A friend of mine is doing a research on the youth habits in GCC and in this respect he needs the following details:
1. Who in your opinion the youth in GCC see as “popular” in the media, entertainment and sports sectors of society?
2. What is the reason/source for the popularity of these people or groups?

arabic pop stars age has gone .. the youth are mostly on about tiesto, 50cent, akon etc. . too bad they stopped listening to arabic..brainwashed by the west as usual =p
I think a survey might do, having people answering such questions will more likely divulge their personal opinions. I for once do believe that the media plays a major a role here.
I’m neither into football nor in popstars; hence, generalizing is not an option.
