Oman Buy Local Survey (Omani Products)

The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE) is carrying out a survey on buying local products. It's pretty short and won't take you 5 minutes. Please download the word file here, and send it to mulkie@kom.om when you are done.

My biggest problem with Omani products is their quality, what is yours?

To be honest, I support the Omani products and have no problems with them!

The questionnaire is too long, and not user friendly. They could have come up with a HTML form alternatively.

Anyways, I love the veggies grown in Salalah.

Amjad: Why is this small box appearing alongside posts now?

I was sent this questionnaire last week. I started on it and gave up a minute later. I tried again today and gave up once again. They should have made an online questionnaire or made it easier to fill.

Besides, it's misleading to say it is about Omani products. It is specifically about Omani household products that are sold in supermarkets. For example, I support some Omani manufacturers like Raha bed mattresses, but I don't buy Omani detergent like Bahar or Sana. By answering this questionnaire I would turn out looking like someone who isn't a supporter of Omani products. It's skewed.

I think that they should've made an online survey, it would've taken less than 2 minutes to fill in. I still filled mine though, didn't take me too long, it's 25 questions anyway.

Neat subject to cover. We buy Omani products whenever possible. but that's not very often.

My biggest complaint with Omani products is the labeling. 100% juice turns out to be mostly sugar and water, chemicals are not listed properly on household products, no nutrition information, etc...

THe brandding and marketing are decidedly thrid-world style as well, with the exception of taquaa seafoods.
