Starbucks can’t handle the peak

For the first time in my life I get disappointed with Starbucks’s service at Muscat City Centre.

Yesterday my cousins and I went to Starbucks at Muscat City Centre and ordered three coffees, looking forward for the tasty flavoured coffee, after the first sip we got disappointed, as it was warm and closer to cold, one of my cousin returned it and asked to be warmed again but the result was the same, we all ended up to drink it vary fast and didn‘t enjoy the coffee. It seems that Starbucks can’t handle the peak at Muscat City Centre, specially at Ramadan season, by trying to serve the maximum number of customers that they started to mess up the coffee’s quality.

On the other hand, we saw that the mugs were cracked from the bottom, it just reminded me of Guno. They really need to replace those mugs.

I don't like the Starbucks at City Center altogether. It's because most of the people who sit there smoke, and it's a closed place. I hate sitting at closed places and people are smoking...

I only drink coffee. I'm not into Frapuccinos and those other cream based drinks. I hate going to Starbucks for the simple fact that they are such a huge chain. They are everywhere and they keep increasing their prices. Unfortunately, their main competition here in Oman, Costa doesn't do fresh brewed coffee and even worse they allow smoking inside. In City Center I buy coffee from Seattle Coffee in Cinnabon. Good coffee, cheaper than Starbucks.

I'm more into Second Cup, they do have more to offer than Starbucks and in a cheaper price too.

Lol @ the Guno flashback though, that was funny!

Just out of curiosity, is the Wi-Fi at Starbucks really reliable?

I think the Wi-Fi in Starbucks is an Omantel hotspot, unlike Second Cup which has their own hotspot with free access to their customers.

Thank you!

You just gave another reason to favor Second Cup over Starbucks.

So in Starbucks you can't use their Wi-Fi unless you have OmanTel's Wi-Fi pre-paid cards or use your own OmanTel username & password?

If that's the case, then it really sucks.

The same for the Baskin Robbins. I asked for a refund, and the work assistant was becoming very aggressive. He simply made a very watery thick chocolate shake twice, and refused to accept that he was preparing it wrong, or that the ice cream needed to be thick not watery
